Colors, Faces, and Fun

One of Munchkins' many obsessions is to wear ALL OF ONE COLOR!!! She really wants everything to match (including her cup, bowl, plate, spoon, fork, jacket, blanket, etc.). A mother has to draw the line some times, so at least once a day we have some sort of melt down around here related to matching!
Man, I wish some weird things like that weren't genetic! Seriously, I have no doubt that this obsession has stemmed from my own past and present matching and coordinating desires. (my mom says I used to cry if my bandaid didn't match my underwear - go figure!)

Anyway, here's a few funny pics from the past few days, and now you'll notice the color theme as you look at them.

She's also really into making silly faces right now. I blame Tio (aka Uncle Wesley) for that one! ;o)

Tinker Toys and PJ's!
Another thing...she ALWAYS wants to wear her PJ's these days!

A very tall tower that she made all by herself!
(well, I made the round base, but she did the rest)

The only reason that the T-shirt underneath is blue is because we didn't have green!
Speaking of battles, you wouldn't imagine the one it was to get her to have that long-sleeved shirt on in the 35 degree whether! It wasn't green, and the fact that there was blue on the green shirt was no consolation!

Some crafty fun.
She got out the pipe cleaners and asked for a paper plate all on her own.

Snowmen.
Again, all on her own!
Pretty creative if I say so myself. ;o)

Munchkin truly is a delight in so many ways, and I LOVE to see her grow and develop into the sweet girl that she's becoming, but I also have to write down these sometimes frustrating and funny moments, 'cause I know there will be a time when I look back and long for these days. ;o)
She's already planning her 3rd birthday party (many of her good friends have already had theirs, not to mention her little sister's being fresh in her mind), you'll have to stay tuned. The theme may shock you. ;o)

Wow Munchkin is super-creative! Those snowmen are amazing! Way to go! And I understand completely the unreasonable melt-down. We have at least one a day here too!
