I took some pics and video for them to watch the next day, and to our surprise there was still some left on the deck and around the yard for them to slide on and crunch around in Wednesday morning.
Munchkin didn't want the rim of her hat folded up.

They both thought it was pretty great to knock it loose from the slides.
Who knows? Maybe it will happen again this winter when they can actually see it happening! Either way, we have to enjoy every little bit we get. ;o)On another note, we went at the last minute to a "family night" event in the nearby downtown of our small suburb city. Of course I had a hard time initially enjoying the evening, because I couldn't stop kicking myself for leaving the camera on the kitchen counter!
The girls had a great time, and I'm pretty sure we'll add it to our list of annual family traditions.
There were scads of things to wait in line for, most of which we opted out of, but we got to do just enough for our crowd of 4.
We started out in the library where we made some pipe cleaner and bead ornaments, next we wandered outside and the first activity we came to sparked our interest. Decorating gingerbread men. We decided to stand in line, because the event hadn't technically started yet, and we were about 6th or so. We got to see the lighting of the tree from where we were standing.
As we walked into the decorating area both girls were handed a cookie, a cup of icing w/ a popsicle for spreading, and a little baggie filled w/ Fruit loops, chocolate chips, and M&M's for decorating.
Next we saw Santa's sleigh up close and personal and more importantly the really cool Clydesdale horses that had pulled it.
After that we headed back to the library for a slightly lame puppet show, then back out for some more festivities, including some little girls dancing to the nutcracker, some high school band performers, free balloons and candy canes, bumping into a handful of friends...
Too bad I didn't remember the camera. Maybe next year.
